Why "Vedi"?
The name comes from Vedibasar, a historical region in Western Azerbaijan — a tribute to roots, culture, and heritage, now served in every cup.
How to Find Us in the Old City ?
Vedi Coffeeshop sits just a few steps from the famous Double Gates (Qala Qapısı) — the main entrance to Baku's Old City (Icherisheher). Right in the heart of centuries-old streets, it's the perfect stop for specialty coffee while exploring the city's most historic district.
Enter the Old City through the Double Gates. Just a few steps in, take the first right turn.
Continue walking until you see Salam Baku straight ahead and Qaynana Restaurant on your right. From there, turn left — and after a few more steps, you'll spot Vedi on the corner, ready with freshly brewed coffee and relaxed vibes.

Vedi also shares space with the Kilim Boutique Hotel, forming a peaceful and elegant corner where architecture, local culture, and hospitality come together.
We're surrounded by major sights in the UNESCO-listed Old City, making Vedi a favorite for travelers, photographers, and anyone hunting for authentic places to explore in Baku.
What's special about the spot?
Our building isn't just old — it holds a piece of cinema history. The outer wall of Vedi appears in a scene from the legendary Soviet film The Diamond Arm, starring Yuriy Nikulin. Over time, that exact spot has become a quiet landmark for movie fans and curious visitors who often stop by for a photo.
